Bilbiotrek Nature Explorers Program is back!

Dive into a world of adventure these October school holidays at our City of Salisbury libraries and community centres. Join us for exciting nature based activities, programs, critter displays and more.

Get ready for an adventure that blends the joy of learning with the wonders of nature. This school holiday, from Monday 30 September to Sunday 13 October, the City of Salisbury libraries are transforming into hubs of exploration and fun. We are excited to welcome back by popular demand, the Bibliotrek Nature Explorers Program — a fantastic opportunity for families to dive into nature, all while nurturing a love for reading and learning.

How to participate

Start your adventure!

Starting from Monday 30 September, City of Salisbury library members can pick up a free kit from any City of Salisbury library—just ask a staff member. Not a member yet? No problem! You can sign up at any City of Salisbury library to take part! These kits are packed with exciting materials like seeds, activity sheets, magnifying glasses, paints, pencils, plasticine, and the special Library Nature Trail Passport.

Please note:

  • Max. 1 kit per family however stocks are limited so get in quick. If you miss out on an adventure kit, you can still take part in the nature trail challenge. Just ask a library staff member for a Library Nature Trail Passport.
  • Bibliotrek Nature Kits are only available to library members who live in the City of Salisbury.

Follow the trail for your chance to WIN!

Inside your kit, you'll find a Library Nature Trail passport card with a list of challenges to complete as you visit each library. Along the way, each location will feature live critter displays, showcasing fascinating creatures like turtles, geckos, yabbies, skinks, and scorpions. These displays offer a fun and educational experience that will captivate young explorers.

Complete the trail and submit your passport to a library staff member to enter the draw for a chance to WIN a family pass to Gorge Wildlife Park!
