Digital Artists
Mondays commencing 21 Oct, 3.45pm to 5pm
Ages: suitable for 8 to 13 years Bookings essential
Cost: $30 for 6 weeks
Digital artists will learn the skills of digital art using our iPad Pros, Apple Pencils and try out different techniques like digital painting, drawing, and even generating short animations. You’ll be creating digital masterpieces in no time, no experience necessary!
3D Printing Explorers @ Salisbury - Term 4
Join us for some 3D fun at Salisbury Community Hub! Check out our awesome weekly themes so you can see what you'll be designing and creating on the Flashforge 3D printers. Come and try just one that appeals to you, or book into all 6 weekly sessions!
Week 1 - October 22 : Brilliant book marks
Week 2 - October 29: Amazing mini maze game
Week 3 - November 5: Bright bubble wands
Week 4 - November 12: Wearable wonders (earrings, necklace pendants)
Week 5 - November 19: Super cool keyrings
Week 6 - November 26: Festive Christmas decorations
Ages: Recommended 8 to 13 years (all attendees under the age of 12 require active adult supervision)
Cost: $5 per session
Bookings essential, we have a strict limit of 8 participants per class - please cancel if you are unable to attend.
PLEASE NOTE: The 3D printing process is lengthy and we will not be printing your designs during session times. Your printed item will be available to pick up from Salisbury Community Hub after 7 days from the date of your workshop.
Game Makers
Thursdays, commencing 24 October
3.45pm to 5pm
Ages: Suitable for 8 to 14 years
Cost: $30 for 6 weeks
In this 6-week course, participants will draw on classic game styles to create and code several different game genres. No special experience needed, you will be guided every step with the basics and beyond. At the end of the workshop you’ll have your own games to challenge your friends and family to play too!
Stop Motion Makers
Thursdays commencing 7 Nov, 3.45pm to 5pm
Ages: suitable for 8 to 13 years. Bookings essential
Cost: $20 for 4 weeks
Learn the principles of stop motion including clay-mation and object animation, be involved in the collaborative creative process.
What is AI
Join us for morning tea and a presentation from Dr. Jinan Zou a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from the Australian Institute of Machine Learning at the University of Adelaide, where they will discuss what Artificial Intelligence (AI) is, how it is currently part of our everyday lives and how it can benefit us for the future. The session will conclude with a Q&A where the audience can ask their questions.
This event is open to anyone who is curious to learn more about AI - no prior knowledge is required!

3D Printing Drop-In
Ever been curious about 3D printers and how to use them? Our new drop ins are the perfect chance to become familiar with 3D modelling and printing using the City of Salisbury Flashforge 3D printers. Come with your own designs or start an idea from scratch with guidance from our staff! Size limits for prints apply.
