Create a Place - Public Art Project
Mural artist Expression of Interest is now closed.
The City of Salisbury previously invited qualified artists to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the design, fabrication, and installation of a public artwork along Cross Keys Road, Salisbury. This expansive blank brick wall, which faces some of the city's newest and most dynamic business developments, presented an exciting opportunity for artistic expression.
Artists were encouraged to bring their creativity to life, capturing the vibrant diversity of local businesses in the area. The mural was envisioned as a symbol of renewal and innovation, transforming the blank space into a visual narrative that reflects the energy and growth of the surrounding industrial community.
Expression of Interest - locations
If you have a location or venue that would make a great 'blank canvas' please click here for a 'Location Expression of Interest' application. Examples of previous locations have included rainwater tanks, building walls and community spaces.
Applications are submitted to our Public Art Panel for approval. Locations details are then sent to local Artists for 'Expression for interest' submissions for each approved location.
Marketing and promotion
All completed masterpieces are displayed on our Discover Salisbury website.
We encourage any artists from South Australia to register their interest to take part in what we hope will become a legacy for our region.
