Pilgrim: A Japanese - Australian Art Journey
Explore a captivating cross-cultural art exhibition at the Salisbury Community Hub with Pilgrim: A Japanese - Australian Art Journey.
This free exhibition features the unique collaboration between renowned photographer Peter Hall and Japanese-Australian twins, Lisa and Erica Hoy.
Through a series of striking images, Pilgrim visually documents the first five years of the sisters’ experiences in Australia. Captured across diverse Aboriginal lands in South Australia, each photograph showcases a meaningful blend of cultural, social, and environmental discoveries. The imagery, including the sisters and the iconic torii gate, acts as a visual metaphor for the emotional journey they have undertaken.
This exhibition intertwines fact and fiction, combining the past, present, and future. Each artwork invites viewers to reflect on the twins' personal journey while embracing a broader narrative of discovery and cultural connection.
Don't miss this thought-provoking exhibition that delves into the heart of cross-cultural experiences and identity.
