The City of Salisbury is home to a diverse variety of businesses ranging from a huge selection of food, and entertainment, grocery stores, clothing, and specialised goods. At the heart of these businesses are local families who rely on local support. This is complemented by large shopping centres and the District outlet centre at Parafield, together providing a range of shopping options for local residents and those neighbouring suburbs who may not have many options close by.
Part of Salisbury’s economic development commitment is to keep business local and encourage residents and surrounding suburbs to shop within the Council area to foster local prosperity.
In the lead up to Christmas 2024, Council is running a Shop Local campaign to encourage residents to shop at local businesses, shopping centres and main streets within the City of Salisbury.
Shopping local supports local businesses, local business owners, local workers and our local economy, resulting in a better Salisbury for everyone.

Live locally and bought something locally recently? We are asking residents to share a photo of their purchases with us for a chance to win 1 of 6 $250 shopping centre vouchers!
To enter, simply reply in the comments to our Facebook post with a photo of a recent item you purchased in the City of Salisbury and mention the place where you bought it!
Entries open 9am Wednesday 11 December, and close 5pm, Wednesday 18 December 2024. On Thursday 19 December 2024, winners will be contacted in a reply comment from the official City of Salisbury Facebook account only (beware of imitators).
