Are you new to Salisbury or keen to connect with neighbours and make new friends? Then come along and meet the team! We look forward to welcoming you into our space. Para Hills Community Hub invite you for a free coffee, cake and chat. The first session for Conversation Cafe at Para Hills Community Hub on Wednesday 29 May 1pm to 2.30pm and Wednesday 12 June 1pm to 2.30pm.

Experience an innovative community space with a focus on learning, culture, business and recreation.

Community can come together, learn and participate in a huge range of activities at the innovative, new Para Hills Community Hub.

This modern Hub incorporates the Library and The Para Hills Centre (both onsite since 1975) and the new community garden. The Hub is a welcoming place with a focus on business, cultural, learning, and recreational opportunities.

Surrounding the Para Hills Community Hub are the Para Hills Shopping Centre and the beautiful Prettejohn Gully Reserve with an impressive new playground space and undercover picnic area.

Latest Programs and Services

Library Services

The library is part of the ‘One Card Network’ connecting all SA public libraries so Salisbury Library Service patrons can borrow and return items wherever they are with their current library card.

Free access to Microsoft Office programs and the internet is available through public PCs or wirelessly. Terms and conditions apply. Printing is available at cost.

Activities and events include a huge range of school holiday programs and activities for young people and educational programs throughout the year.

Children and Youth

With a huge range of activities for both children and young people, the Para Hills Community Hub has fantastic school holiday programs as well as regular events. Young people can read, play and learn at the Hub.

Adult Learning

Featuring community engagement programs that build on foundation skills for the workplace.

Programs for Seniors

The Para Hills Community Hub is a welcoming and accessible leisure centre for social activities, health and fitness and wellbeing programs for people over 50 including those with a disability.

Justice of the Peace

Justice of the Peace (or a JP) is authorised to witness and attest many documents, such as statutory declarations, affidavits, wills, divorce documents, power of attorney and guardianship documents as well as certify copies of original documents.

Room Hire

The Para Hills Community Hub is the ideal location for your next event.

Spaces, including a multi-function area with a commercial kitchen and bar servery, are available for hire. Rooms are furnished with modern AV equipment and can cater for a variety of activities including meetings, seminars, workshops and events.

Community Garden

The Para Hills Community Garden is a place for the community to connect with nature and participate in programs that support health and wellbeing. Located at the rear of the Hub, the garden consists of both above-ground and inground plantings including citrus trees and a bush tucker garden. The community can participate in garden-based programs or just sit and relax amongst nature.

The Para Hills Community Garden is supported by the Australian Statewide Wellbeing Strategy, led by Wellbeing SA.

Located in the garden area is an Aboriginal Mural featuring local Senior Elder Frank Wanganeen and his grandson Joseph. The artwork was created by artists Elizabeth Close and Thomas Readett as part of the City of Salisbury’s World of Welbeing project to promote resilience, positive health and wellbeing post COVID-19.
