Active Ageing Week

Active Ageing Week is an international celebration promoting healthy, active lifestyles for older adults!

As part of Active Ageing in October 2024 – we are hosting the following events.

Community Information Stall at Hollywood Plaza

Come and celebrate Ageing Well week with us at Hollywood Plaza. Come visit our stall find out about the range of things, activities and events that Council offers our older community members.

Disco & Rock n Roll Dance Party

Join DJ Des, dress up if you want and join the party! We’re here to celebrate, have fun and be active as part of ageing Well Week!!

Sounds in the Courtyard

Join us for a delightful afternoon of FREE live music in a beautiful courtyard setting! Enjoy the tunes by Alice Richardson and Michael Liddle while you relax, or get active and dance along. Don't forget to book a meal and savour it in the courtyard to make the experience even more special.

Topic: The Power of Social Connections - “building bonds to boost wellbeing”

October celebrates Active Ageing. Join us for a conversation about the positive impact that social connections can have on our wellbeing.

We'll explore how sustaining, building and nurturing connections with others can enrich our everyday lives and strengthen our communities.

Hear about the latest research and share ideas about ways to create and maintain meaningful connections as our lives change. Bookings are essential.
