The Salisbury Community Hub is an exciting and innovative Community Hub that is the centrepiece of the revitalisation of the Salisbury City Centre and a place for the community to come together to exchange ideas, learn, participate and celebrate in a range of community spaces.

Boasting new technology, large open spaces and an indoor café the Salisbury Community Hub has incorporated 16 bookable spaces available for community and business use. In designing the new building we have merged the old with the new in retaining our outdoor playground and upgrading the heritage listed cemetery.

Award Winning

The Salisbury Community Hub and its architect, HASSELL, received the esteemed Jack McConnell Award for Public Architecture as well as an Interior Commendation at the 2020 South Australian Architecture Awards.

The Hub was recognised as inviting opportunities for community use and having a strong sense of place – both by embracing the future with modern design and maintaining connections with our past, such as through the preservation of the cemetery.

The Interior Commendation was a nod to the Hub’s “highly effective spatial flow and volume, creating a range of opportunities for members of the local area to visit the Hub, make use of its resources and connect as a community.”
