Calling all Nature Explorers!

Dive into a world of adventure these school holidays at our City of Salisbury Libraries. Join us for exciting nature based activities, programs, bug displays and more.

Get ready for an adventure that blends the joy of learning with the wonders of nature. This school holiday, from Saturday 6 July to Sunday 21 July, the City of Salisbury libraries are transforming into hubs of exploration and fun. Introducing the Bibliotrek Nature Explorers Program — a fantastic opportunity for families to dive into nature, all while nurturing a love for reading and learning.

How to participate

Start your adventure!

Pick up your free kit from any City of Salisbury library. These kits are packed with exciting materials like seeds, activity sheets, magnifying glasses, paints, pencils, plasticine, and the special Salisbury Nature Trail Passport.

Please note: Max. 1 kit per family however stocks are limited so get in quick. If you miss out on an adventure kit, you can still take part in the nature trail challenge. Just ask a library staff member for a Salisbury Nature Trail Passport.

Follow the trail!

Within your kit, you will find a Salisbury Nature Trail passport card with a list of challenges to complete as your travel from library to library. Each site will also host live critter displays featuring fascinating creatures such as tree skinks, earthworms, green tree frogs, leaf insects, and hermit crabs. These displays offer a unique learning experience that will captivate young minds.
