Consultation Zone
The City of Salisbury is establishing better ways for you to have your say on both the way we work and the projects we run. We are committed to listening and learning from local people. We provide important services to residents, visitors, employers and employees in the City of Salisbury and we're always looking for ways to improve them.
Finding out what you think of the services we provide is essential because it helps us to work out how to improve both in delivery and quality. Our commitment to engage means we can make this happen. Using a model of engagement outlined by IAP2 (International Association for Public Participation) we aim to let you have your say on important issues that could affect the community and will listen to your comments when we make our decisions.
By listening to you we can be sure that we are making the right decisions. By telling us what you think, you are able to have your say about the things you think are important or need improving.
When we offer engagement opportunities we will endeavour to;
- Plan ahead so that we can make sure that we have enough accessible information at the right times for you to make informed decisions.
- Engage a broad variety of people across the City of Salisbury when we can and do this through a number of different means.
- Work hard to collect the views of all groups represented in the community.
We won't only listen to the views of the majority, the views of just a few people matter too.
This is your chance to:
- have your say
- be involved
- influence decisions and services
- share information
- make a choice
We use a variety of methods to get your opinion, such as a Consultation Zone (James St offices), questionnaires, meetings and online consultation as well as a number of social media tools.
You can get involved by viewing the ongoing projects we are currently running. Each project will have instructions on how you can get involved. You can take part now by visiting us on Facebook and Twitter pages.
