The City of Salisbury is excited to release its draft City Plan 2040.

As someone who may live, work, play, visit, study or do business in the City of Salisbury, we would like your thoughts on this document!

Update: Please note that engagement has now closed. Your feedback is being considered in the review of the final draft City Plan, which will be presented to the Council later this year.

What is the City Plan?

All councils are required by legislation to have a strategic plan. The City Plan is ours.

The City Plan is our strategic plan that guides our work and decision making.

We use the City Plan to drive key strategic projects and focus areas for the next few years.

What does the City Plan say?

The City Plan outlines our vision of being "a progressive, sustainable and connected community". This is our long-term goal for the city and community.

In the document, you will find a list of Critical Actions. These are the key things that we want to focus on delivering over the next few years.

These Critical Actions are categorised into four Directions, which are key themes. They are:

  1. A welcoming and liveable city
  2. A sustainable city
  3. A growing city that creates new opportunities
  4. Innovation and Business Development.

The first three themes are the areas that we want to do to achieve our vision. The fourth theme looks at our internal operations and how we can improve our services to the community.
