Lake Windemere Reserve Upgrades

The City of Salisbury is upgrading Lake Windemere reserve.

The following upgrades are proposed:

  • Two-metre-wide sealed path going around the existing lake
  • Three sets of exercise equipment which will be located at various locations around the lake. Each set of exercise equipment would target different body groups (they will not be the same equipment at each location)
  • An all-accessible single plate, electricity run BBQ
  • Dog park – There will be two dog parks. One to cater to larger dogs and one for smaller dogs. Both will be fully fenced and have their own separate entrances and exits. Within the dog parks, seatings, drinking fountains with dog bowls, bins, disposable doggy bag and shelters will be provided. An unsealed path will run within the fenced area.
  • Toilet block with three cubicles (including a disabled accessible toilet).
  • Landscape enhancements including native planting and trees.
  • Expansion of the current playground with two new play elements; a basket swing and trampoline.

Once consultation is completed, we expect to finalise the design and start construction in 2024. The proposed works are expected to be completed by June 2025.
