Salisbury Aquatic Centre’s inaugural summer season launch
The City of Salisbury is hosting a Community Open Day at the Salisbury Aquatic Centre, Happy Home Reserve on Sunday 29 September 2024 from 10am to 4pm.
Inside the Centre, all aquatic facilities will be operating including the indoor pools, the 50-metre outdoor pool, splash pad and waterplay area with three junior water slides and giant tipping bucket, and 10-metre high, triple water slide tower.
Outside the Centre, a community event will host free entertainment including inflatables (such as jumping castles), mini golf, rock climbing, circus workshops, a mobile library and much more, while a DJ plays the latest hits. There will also be food vendors with a range of low-cost options.
Aquatic entry will be held over two sessions to ensure safety and enjoyment. Session times are 10 am to 12.30pm, and 1.30pm to 4pm.
Tickets are required for entry to the aquatic facilities, and are in high demand.
Any ticketholders who can no longer attend their session are asked to please cancel their registration on EventBrite to allow the tickets to be available for other community members.
I am delighted to see the Salisbury Aquatic Centre come to life with slides and water play features that are a first for our City.
It’s exciting that our community now has a premier aquatic and recreation precinct that caters to all their fitness and leisure needs, making it the perfect destination for a full day out.
With this enhancement to Happy Home Reserve, this area is now a complete hub for recreation, and it’s truly a privilege to see it available to our residents.
The Centre is nestled within the lush parklands of Happy Home Reserve, next to tennis courts and play equipment. The reserve’s walking trails, fitness equipment, and BBQ areas make it the ideal place for a full day out for the whole family.
