Australia Day Breakfast cancelled

To provide a safer environment for our community, staff and volunteers – our Australia Day Breakfast will unfortunately no longer go ahead as planned.

The current COVID-19 climate and an expected peak in cases by the time of Australia Day, as forecasted by state leaders, were among the driving factors behind this decision.

This was a tough decision as we know how many people look forward to this event each year.

A citizenship ceremony will be carried out on Australia Day as required, but as a private event for a limited number of family members and friends with strict social distancing and safety protocols in place.

Our Australia Day Award winners will be read aloud in the Ceremony and announced on the day on the City of Salisbury’s Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and website.

An opportunity to properly acknowledge them and their huge contribution will be organised later on in the year in person.
