First RATs pick up station in the City of Salisbury
As COVID-19 cases rise within the City of Salisbury, alongside neighbouring councils to the north and west, a new pick up point for rapid antigen tests has opened in Para Hills on Tuesday 25 January from 8 am.
SA Health in conjunction with SAPOL and SAFECOM prepared a pick-up station on Monday 24 January 2022 at The Paddocks precinct, on the corner of Bridge Road and Kesters Road, with full operation beginning on the following day.
Salisbury Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM said Council worked with SA Health and other authorities to secure an appropriate location.
The pick-up station is likely to be the first to open in the northern suburbs and will serve a long-awaited need for more testing options within the region.
We have a variety of different barriers in our community and access to transport is one of the most prevalent, so if we can make access to COVID services easier, we will see better outcomes on the whole.
People will be able to walk-in, cycle or drive through to pick up a rapid antigen test, but only if they are a Close Contact and have booked ahead on the SA Health website before arriving.
