Free community bus trial to launch in Salisbury

A free bus service will take community members to and from the Salisbury Community Hub to St Kilda Adventure Playground, stopping off at key sites along the way.

The Salisbury community bus trial will launch on Tuesday, October 5 and will be available to all members of the public.

Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM said the bus, which will run three days per week, was aimed at helping to fill a service gap and improving access to popular destinations.

With eight key stops, the bus will allow more members of our community to visit and enjoy shopping precincts and tourist sites. We hope the bus will be utilised by as many members of the community as possible, for example, to help with making a day out at the playground possible for families with limited transport options.

The bus is a hop on- hop off service, with the initial trial to run for six months.
