Nagi serves up a memorable evening in Salisbury
The City of Salisbury celebrated an exceptional evening with Nagi Maehashi, famous home cook and creator of RecipeTin Eats, at her Salisbury Author Series event to celebrate the release of her new book, Tonight.
Around 300 enthusiastic attendees enjoyed every moment, from her captivating cooking demonstration and insightful Q and A to the added fun of her team's lively presence.
A highlight of the night was the burrito-wrapping competition, which offered plenty of laughs and was a fantastic way to involve members of the crowd in the festivities.
The event seamlessly blended entertainment and culinary inspiration, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
In true Nagi fashion, proceeds from the night were donated to St Vincent de Paul’s Fred’s Van meal service, reflecting her commitment to giving back to the community.
In 2021, Nagi founded her own not-for-profit, RecipeTin Meals, which provides over 100,000 meals annually.
Launched in early 2024, the Salisbury Author Series has drawn large crowds, encouraged community connections, and provided opportunities for attendees to meet, listen to, and purchase books from their favourite authors.
The City of Salisbury thanks Nagi Maehashi for visiting our community for a night to remember.
