Supporting young entrepreneurs at Salisbury Youth Market 2025

The Salisbury Youth Market supporting local young talent and innovation is back on Thursday, 10 April, from 1pm at Salisbury Civic Plaza / Inparrinthi Kumangka, just outside the Salisbury Community Hub.

The Youth Market will showcase the impressive work of more than 35 of our community’s young entrepreneurs, aged 12 to 25, providing a platform for them to sell their products, gain experience, explore opportunities through the Twelve25 Youth Centre, and connect with the community.

The Salisbury Youth Market is a vibrant celebration of our city’s future. It’s an opportunity to discover unique market stalls, appreciate the work of our talented young people, and see them develop vital business skills. I encourage everyone to come along and celebrate their success.

Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM

Visitors can expect a diverse range of stalls featuring art, crafts, handmade goods, natural resources, and more. Live entertainment will include performances from talented young musicians, delicious food and drinks will be available to enjoy while browsing, and a sensory-friendly Carers Lounge will be provided by SACARE Australia to offer a quiet space at the event.

The City of Salisbury provides many great opportunities for young artists like myself, and I’m looking forward to engaging with the community through live illustration at this year’s Youth Market. These creative events in Salisbury provide the ability for artists to grow by creating connections and sharing their passion.

This event is part of the annual ROAR Youth Summit, a full day dedicated to bringing young people together to connect, collaborate, and drive meaningful change. Coinciding with Youth Week, the Youth Summit will launch the City of Salisbury’s Youth Action Plan 2024-2027 and offer young people an exciting day of interactive discussions, engaging workshops, seminars from inspiring guest speakers, free lunch, giveaways, and prizes.

Hosted by Jessica McCall from BTS with Jess, the event will feature Amber Brock-Fabel from the SA Youth Forum (Health Equity), headspace, Green Adelaide, and former Port Adelaide captain Tom Jonas. Attendees can connect with like-minded peers, develop leadership skills, and hear from Sonder about the first initiative of the Youth Action Plan – a free mental health service at Twelve25 Salisbury.

Young people interested in attending the ROAR Youth Summit can find more information and register at salisbury.sa.gov.au/ROAR2025.
