Water quality update – Cascade Lake, Mawson Lakes

Council continues to supply additional fresh water to counteract a deterioration in the condition of water at the Cascade lake.

This and other measures that have been in effect over the past week have significantly improved the condition of the Cascade lake with excellent results in improving the colour and clarity of the water as well as reducing the odour that was evident last week.

Council will also be installing an additional aerating fountain to increase the oxygenation of the water at the Cascade Lake and it is expected that this will be in place the week commencing Monday, 23 January 2023.

Council will continue to monitor the water quality.
