Civil Drainage

Meet Scott and Sam, who give a day in the life insight into what the City of Salisbury Civil Drainage team does. The team of seven cleans and maintains 10,500 side entry pits on a five-year cleaning cycle and 68km of open drains, 143 trash racks and 1100 headwalls that they clean on a regular basis.

Turf & Irrigation

Meet Ben, who gives a day in the life insight into what the City of Salisbury Turf & Irrigation team does. The team is responsible for maintaining and auditing our irrigated open space across our reserves and sports fields to green the City of Salisbury.

Tree Services

Meet Keith, who gives a day in the life insight into what the City of Salisbury Tree Services team does. They specialise in the planting and watering of trees in residential streets, reserves and roadside garden beds to not only help with the visual attraction of the City, but also helps to sustain it.

Rapid Response

Meet Steve, who gives a day in the life insight into what the City of Salisbury Rapid Response team does, including the maintenance they perform such as clearing roads of fallen tree branches, fixing potholes or irrigation issues, the tools and the trucks they use, including the hardware and the crane they operate, and how the Rapid Response Team at the Salisbury Council Operations Centre keep the community safe.

Street Sweeping

Meet Jay, who gives a day in the life insight into what the City of Salisbury Street Sweeping team does. Between them, the team has over 60 years of experience in keeping the city clean for the community to enjoy. Starting early in the morning, they clean up to 20km of streets per day, per machine. They keep debris out of the waterways and wetlands and the collected material is turned into mulch.

Structures

Meet Darren, who gives a day in the life insight into what the City of Salisbury Structures team does. The team has extensive experience in carpentry and welding. They check and maintain over 160 playgrounds, 600 shelters and seats, and over 10,000 signage assets for public safety and enjoyment within the Salisbury Council area.
