Hi, I am Calais (yes like the car Holden Calais) so yes I am a pretty cool guy. Once you get to know me. You see I have come into pound and my anxiety is pretty high so my carers took me to the doctor and I am now on some medicine that helps to calm me down, I am a work in progress, a kind & gentle hand to help me through would be wonderful for me. My carers think that being in a home environment will help me a lot. I will need someone that wants to spend lots of time with me because time alone stresses me a little and I tend to chew my bedding, if you give me toys and treats and something to do while you are away and I am waiting for you to come back that would help a lot. I don’t mean to be like this but I was left abandoned and I don’t want that to happen to me again, I am hoping that someone is going to see all the sweet things my carers see, they call me such a sweetheart, I can be jumpy with my stress but I don’t mean any harm at all. I just want to be with you and I will calmly lay beside you (or sit on your lap), just knowing you are next to me is all I need. I have met a couple of dogs here and I get along with them just fine. Because I can be a bit jumpy older kids might be best so I don’t accidentally knock little ones over. If you have a dog at home please ask to bring them with you when you come to the pound so we can meet each other too.

Was able to check teeth, pulled away when I squeezed paws, turned to look when tail pulled but was ok, struggled with a hug at first but then leaned in for more. Anxiety is high, need a home environment as soon as possible, pound like not for him.
