Payment options
You can pay your council rates via direct debit, the internet, by mail or in person. Prepayment of rates is encouraged.
Direct debit
The City of Salisbury offers fortnightly Direct Debit to ratepayers to allow them to pay their rates by entering into an agreement for Council to debit their bank accounts.
Ratepayers are able to select the business day for the payment to be debited. Ratepayers can select any nominated start date but must allow a minimum of four business days before the deductions will commence.
The direct debit will be made through the Bulk Electronic Clearing System (BECS) from your account held at the financial institution you have nominated and will be subject to the terms and conditions of the Direct Debit Service Agreement. For direct debit the City of Salisbury’s User ID number is 445474 and our ABN is 82 615 416 895.

BPAY
(minimum $5)
BPAY is a national electronic bill payment service provided by most financial institutions. Accounts that display the BPAY logo can be paid via this method using the procedures determined by your financial institution.
Contact your bank or log in to your online banking to set up a BPAY payment.
You will require the City of Salisbury biller code which is 8649 and your assessment number as shown on the front of your rates notice.

You will need your:
- Rates Assessment Number (located on your rates account)
- Mastercard or Visa details (AMEX or Diners not accepted)

Cheques can be made payable to “City of Salisbury” and crossed “Not Negotiable”.
Post-dated cheques will not be accepted. Receipts will only be issued upon request.

In person

Present your rates notice at the Salisbury Community Hub at 34 Church Street, Salisbury between the hours of 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays)
Payment methods accepted:
- EFTPOS - Mastercard and Visa ( AMEX and Diners Club cards are not accepted)
- Cheque
- Cash (legal tender amounts)
Credit card payments will be accepted to a maximum of $5,000.
Australia Post branches or agencies
(minimum $30)
Ratepayers can visit an Australia Post branch in person to make payments for their rates. Ratepayers should produce their current rates notice as the barcode will correctly identify the ratepayer's assessment details.
